Uriah Heep – The Magician's BirthdayUriah Heep are an English rock band, formed in 1969 when record producer Gerry Bron invited keyboardist Ken Hensley – previously a member of The Gods and Toe Fat – to join Spice, a band signed to his own Bronze Records label. Their music draws on diverse influences including progressive rock, hard rock, heavy metal, jazz and even country on occasion. In spite of their huge popularity in Britain and continental Europe they never able to break into the American market in a big way.

The album is on Bronze Records, ILPS 9213. Matrix side one: ILPS 9213 A-1U[on its side] (stamped). Matrix side two: ILPS 9213 B-1U (stamped).
Released in 1972. UK pressing. Stereo.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has a few superficial surface marks that don’t affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has a few superficial surface marks that don’t affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (gatefold): excellent (edge wear on bottom edge, light rubbing front and back, one or two very light creases).
Comes with the original inner sleeve in good condition - has a split on one side, small tear at top, a few stain marks at bottom and a few creases!
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
