UK FIRST PRESSING 'i' for Island on Bronze label VINYL LP IN HEAVY CARD ROGER DEAN DESIGNED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH ROUNDED CORNER LYRIC INNER.
This is the genuine very first Gilbert Kong mastered pressing in the USA for Island/Bronze. This is the ONLY great sounding mastering of this album, solid bottom, warm middle and great upper-mids. All subsequent releases lost all sense of Heep's awesome power and punch. The compressed CD releases are pathetic when you hear how good Kong cut this album.
MATRIX NUMBERS IN RUN-OFF GROOVES: SIDE A: G.KONG ILPS 9213 A-1U / SIDE B: G.KONG ILPS 9213 A-1U
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT MINUS, JUST LIGHT SHELF, CORNER AND EDGE WEAR. ONE OF THE BEST ORIGINAL HEAVY CARD SLEEVES WE HAVE SEEN IN MANY-A-YEAR. INNER IS EXCELLENT.
DISC: EXCELLENT MINUS. NO SCRATCHES AND NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR, JUST A FEW LIGHT HAIRLINES. DISC PLAYS AND SOUNDS SUPERB - YOU WILL BE HARD-PRESSED TO UPGRADE ON THIS COPY, IT SHOULD SATISFY ALL BUT A PERFECTIONIST.
