Original 1970 U.K. first issue stereo pressing released on the swirl Vertigo label 6360 006.
Description :
Very rare and hard to find prog metal classic. Features the full spiral on side one with the large spiral on side two exclusive to the first issue.
Uriah Heep's debut album, Very 'eavy... Very 'umble (which was self-titled in the United States), introduced a heavy organ and guitar-driven sound, with David Byron's theatrical, dynamic vocals soaring above thunderous sonic backgrounds, although acoustic and jazz elements also featured in the mix. The album's title references the signature phrase of the Dickens character Uriah Heep ("very 'umble") from the novel David Copperfield from which the band took its name.
Condition ~ Vinyl :
Side one is in VG++ condition with a couple of light non-audible hairlines while side two is in EXCELLENT condition with just the faintest signs of use.
Lovely copy that plays superbly throughout.
Condition ~ Sleeve :
The stunning laminated gatefold sleeve is in virtually perfect NEAR MINT shape. No splits, tears or writing.
Condition ~ Labels :
Both sides are virtually perfect showing only light spindle wear. No writing.
