MATRIX NO: side 1 (6360 006  1Y//1v420  L   1     3 )  side 2 (886775  2Y//1v420   L   1     3 ) stamped - this is what they look like to me under a magnifying glass but some of the digits are difficult to see. Both '3' have the top and bottom curve missing and the 'L' could be an upside down '1'.

CONDITION

SLEEVE: (VG+) FRONT LAMINATED UK GATEFOLD SLEEVE HAS LIGHT WEAR FROM HANDLING AND STORAGE WITH A COUPLE OF LIGHT LAMINATE CREASES AND TWO LONGER MARKS CLEARLY SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. ONE IS 2.5" LONG AND FEELABLE GOING HORIZONTALLY ACROSS THE MAN'S CHEEK AND THE OTHER IS 3" LONG GOING VERTICALLY DOWN THE RIGHT HAND SIDE ABOVE THE TEXT 'URIAH HEEP'. THESE FORCE ME TO DOWNGRADE THE SLEEVE. IF THEY WERE NOT THERE I WOULD EASILY GRADE EXCELLENT. THE INSIDE IS CLEAN WITH SOME ISOLATED WEAR. NO WRITING NO STICKERS NO RIPS & NO SPLITS.

SPINE: (VG+) THE TEXT AND CAT NO ARE CLEARLY READABLE WITH SOME LIGHT RUBBING TO THE MIDDLE AND CORNERS. NO SPLITS.  

INNER: (VG+) NOT THE USUAL SPIRAL SWIRL INNER BUT A PLAIN WHITE PAPER POLYLINED INNER FROM THE SAME ERA. THE PREVIOUS OWNER TOLD ME THAT THIS IS THE INNER IT CAME WITH BUT I AM NOT SURE. THERE IS NO LOGO OR TEXT BUT IT FEELS AND LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE IN 1970 AND HAS DEFINITELY HELPED KEEP THE VINYL SAFE AND SECURE. NO OBVIOUS WEAR AND NO SPLITS - JUST ISOLATED DISCOLOURATION FROM AGE.

LABELS: (EX) BOTH LABELS ARE FREE FROM ANY UNWANTED WRITING & STICKERS WITH A FEW SPINDLE MARKS AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE ON EACH SIDE. IT HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED BUT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL LOOKED AFTER. NO WRITING NO STICKERS.

VINYL VISUALLY: (EX+) BOTH SIDES ARE FLAT & GLOSSY AND ARE VERY CLOSE TO NEAR MINT!! JUST A FEW ISOLATED HAIRLINES/PAPER SCUFFS ONLY VISIBLE UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT. ALSO SIDE 1 HAS A SMALL HAIRLINE ON THE LEAD-IN AND SIDE 2 HAS A COUPLE OF LONG WISPY HAIRLINES BUT THEY DO NOT AFFECT THE AUDIO OR PLAYING IN ANYWAY! YOU HAVE TO REALLY LOOK HARD TO SEE ANYTHING. LOOKS STUNNING AND I DOUBT IF YOU COULD FIND A BETTER COPY!! STRICT GRADING AND MOST WOULD GRADE HIGHER! DON'T MISS THIS!!

PLAYING GRADE: (MINT-) BOTH SIDES PLAY LIKE NEW!! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AUDIO!!  ALL I NOTICED WAS THE USUAL OCCASIONAL LIGHT STATIC/CRACKLE VINYL SOUND BETWEEN TRACKS AND VERY OCCASIONALLY IN PLACES DURING THE QUIETER MUSIC - THE SAME AS YOU GET ON BRAND NEW VINYL! FAULTLESS AUDIO! BOTH SIDES HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO ON BEYER-DYNAMIC DT-150 & AKG K550 HEADPHONES ON A COUPLE OF SYSTEMS WITH A SHURE WHITE LABEL CARTRIDGE & STEREO NEEDLE. NO POPS NO SKIPS NO JUMPS NO DISTORTION. I AM ALWAYS HIGHLY CRITICAL SO BID WITH CONFIDENCE - PLEASE CHECK MY FEEDBACK. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION ESPECIALLY A UK 1ST PRESSING. THE PRODUCTION ON THIS ALBUM IS SIMPLY AWESOME AND IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANY DIGITAL REMASTER OR VINYL REPRESSING. A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING AND INCREDIBLE SOUNDING COPY OF A URIAH HEEP CLASSIC NOT TO BE MISSED!

GRADING

All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.

M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POSTAGE & PACKAGING

I always charge less postage than what it actually costs me. If the actual cost of postage is less then I will refund the difference. All records are posted fully insured. In the UK they are sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded delivery (Special Delivery at no extra charge if the record is £50 or over). Overseas all records are posted via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed, tracked or signed depending on what options are available. All vinyl is posted using correct card record mailers/cruciform boxes with at least 5 cardboard stiffeners. The sleeve is always sent in a new poly outer and the vinyl is put in a new polylined paper inner outside of the sleeve to avoid splits/damage during transit. 7" vinyls sleeves are sent in a new PVC outer and the vinyl is put in a new card inner outside of sleeve. I will always do everything I can to guarantee that your record arrives in the same condition it leaves me.
