Description

Those Old Records

Uriah Heep

  • Very E'avy - Very Umble

Catalogue Number: 6360 006  - Stereo

Labels: Vertigo Swirl - Immaculate Labels - No Imperfections

Matrix Numbers: 1Y/2Y

Vinyl: The album is in Excellent to Excellent + condition, it has been professionally cleaned on an Okki Nokki machine. No scratches, one non play impacting hairline mark, no fingerprints. The album lies perfectly flat on the deck. There is some light paper scuffing associated with taking the album in and out of then lined inner. Stunning material and highly recommended. No clicks, pops or any other distractions on this lovely vinyl. The album lies perfectly flat on the dack and sounds wonderful to me.

Year of Release: 1970

Country Of Release: UK

Manufactured In: UK

Sleeve: Laminated gatefold sleeve in Excellent + throughout - no pen marks, creases or tears. The spine is clearly readable, all edges and corners are intact. Considering that this album is now 39 years old, this is a very fine sleeve indeed. The only blemish that I can see in on the inside of the sleeve just right of the word "Heep" - there is a little wear to the card at this point but it's nothing really. Excellent is a good classification for this lovely sleeve. The Vertigo swirl lined inner is intact and in Excellent condition.

Description: The first live rock concert that I ever seen was Paladin, Uriah Heep and Sha Na Na at The Free Trade Hall in Manchester back in 1971. Seen Heep several times after that and always enjoyed their music. This is one of several Heep albums that I have just bought. I'll be lsiting Salisbury later this week, Look At Yourself, Magicians Birthday, Live (first pressing with the newspaper inners) and a couple of Ken Hensley solo albums. Keep looking.

Those Old Records, Lichfield Staffordshire UK

We are a small business founded in 2006 and based in Lichfield Staffordshire. We only sell high quality vinyl and do not trade in inferior cd's. In addition, we organize a number of specialist vinyl record fairs in Lichfield. . We aim to provide the very best customer service at all times – accurate gradings, strong packaging and all at a keen price. Any queries please mail me at thoseoldrecords@btinternet.com

Record Grading:

All records are graded as per the standards set by Record Collector. Records are examined under a strong halogen light and graded accordingly. In addition, all NON MINT records are played on a LINN Axis turntable with an Akito arm with a Roksan cartridge. I tend not to get carried away with the classification or use words like “impossibly rare” “vault copy” or any other such nonsense.  My reviews are precise and to the point.  It is assumed that you know something of the artist so I rarely provide a description of who they are/were etc. The High Numbers become The Who, `N Betweens become Slade – you will not find a long description on the history in these reviews.

Record Cleaning:

All NON MINT albums are professionally cleaned prior to classification on an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine before dispatch.

Packaging: (all vinyl 7” + 12”)

Packaging is of the highest quality.  I use professional mailers at all times, each record is supported by 2 cardboard stiffeners. The inner sleeve and record are packed individually in order to reduce wear on the sleeve in transit. The record, inner and cardboard stiffeners are then packed inside a high grade polythene record protector before being sealed in the mailer. The mailer is then supported by tape around the edges in order to minimise risk.

Postage Costs:

Postage is normally done the next working day after payment. Proof of postage is retained with all items. Recorded delivery is not added at this stage but will be if the item sells for over £30. We occasionally post recorded delivery for free, however from October 1st 2009 all postage costs will have recorded delivery.
