Allthough Uriah Heep is regarded as a heavy-rock band, this first album gives a good example of the different music, the band always presents: based on the heavy-line, but never fixed on it, Uriah Heep gives very different expressions in their songs. Heavy (e.g. Walking In Your Shadow, Wake Up), Hard (e.g. Gypsy, Real Turned On), Soft (e.g. Come Away Melinda), Bluesy (e.g. Dreammare). And so, this album is a good preview of the bands variety and creativity, which is more and more developed in the following albums. This album brings the bands really fascinating vitality and pure fun in playing music!
