FOLLIES BAZAAR - Closely Watched Trains (Follies Bazzar NR5666, USA 1975)
This college kids from Rhode Island / USA released in the early 70ies 3 albums under the name "Perspective" - this is the 1st album under their new name "Follies Bazaar" - I think nearly a dozen of albums followed to the early 80ies. Musically an amalgam of different influences from excellent singer songwriter folk, jazzy passages, some rural elements, a touch of prog and psych flashes - all in the typical communal relaxed early 70ies "US private pressing" feeling - a very moody LP. Varied instrumentation on drums, bass acoustic / electric / slide guitars, piano, viola, sax, banjo, percussions, flute, male / female vocals... Copies of their albums are hard to find now - think they all had very tiny pressings. This copy comes also with the gatefold insert !!
The cover is in good (g) condition only, shows heavier signs of wear, the top seam is broken about the half length. On the blank white backcover a lovely dedikation is written
The record is in very good to very good plus (vg/vg+) condition, looks excellent - has only some paperscuffs / short hairlines - but the 1st half of side 1 plays crackly in places - but NOT in a very loud or disturbing way - the rest of the whole album plays between vg+ and ex.

Imortant: Please don´t bid on "G" or "VG" records, and then you are disappointed if you don´t become a MINT copy - unfortunately this is not possible. Also you are bidding on vinyl records - and NOT CDs - that means, that also new records made some surface cracklings here and there and some of the old (especially privat pressings) are NOT hifi demonstration records !!!
