This landmark Blue Note album was first released in 1993 and went on to sell well over a million copies in the US alone. The record’s innovative blend of samples from classic Blue Note artists like Herbie Hancock, Donald Byrd and Horace Silver fused with a contemporary hip-hop sound found an enthusiastic audience at the time and still sounds fresh today.
This pressing is the 1994 limited edition UK pressing and is presented in near mint condition. It comes with a second 8 track album called “The Jazz Mixes”. I bought this record new during my college days and it has only been played a handful of times in the intervening years.
