Beautiful copy of the original 1962 pressing of the Ali Akbar Khan - Master Musician of India LP on Connoisseur Society stereo 45 RPM LP CS462. One of the earliest LPs of real Indian classical music released in the US on a major label. This is an incredible recording, pressed at 45rpm for way better sound quality, featuring Sarod, Tanpura, and Tabla. The cover includes a lovely booklet telling all about the music and instruments for American listeners who were at the time only beginning to become familiar with this sort of music. Really a beautiful presentation, and absolutely beautiful sounding record. This copy is just gorgeous and plays very near flawlessly and just beautifully. There are a couple of entirely superficial marks but they are very light and don’t make any sound. Plays perfectly. The cover and booklet are likewise nearly pristine, with only slight signs of age and gentle use. A top copy, hard to beat.
