Description
1965 Uk Decca pressed RCA VICTROLA VICS 1042 ED1 of Richard Strauss Ein Heldenleben from Fritz Reiner & the CSO. An anomaly of the series in that these are quite often the reissues of famous RCA LSC Living Stereo lps, but this one is from the highly regarded and massively sought after earlier reel to reel stereo series that predated the LP issues in stereo. The tapes were made in 1954 in true stereo, and failed to make the first run of LSC's. English decca handed the reels over to their finest Engineer, Ted Burkett, as shown by the 1G1G stampers in the dead wax, and he made this masterpiece. The US equivalent from shortly after is no match, sonically. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type.

We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water.
This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
