Description
For sale is an ultra rare record by Otakar Sevcik and Leopold Auer's legendary pupil David Hochstein (1892-1918).
A child prodigy, he was promised a brilliant career but was killed during the WWI on the Somme.
His only recorded output are three exceedingly rare sides for Emerson recorded at New York in late 1917.
Record 7215, cat 2604: David Hochstein: "Orientale", by Cesar Cui. condition is VG+ (some noticeable wear).
Record 7215, cat 2596: Hugo Riesenfeld's Rialto Orchestra: "Warum?"by Robert Schumann. Codition is VG+ (some noticeable wear).
Emerson records are recorded at 45 degrees, thus making them playable both vertically and laterally. I would however recommend to play them laterally and select one wall of the groove only.
