In this lot, we have Umm Kulthum Prism Music Unit Circa 1974 Egyptian Production Vinyl Record LP, with descriptions of each below.

This is a documentary of Umm Kulthum, a legendary Egyptian singer who passed away in 1975.  It was produced by the Arab Republic of Egypt, Ministry of Culture, in a generic Prism Music Unit jacket.  It is our understanding that the P.M.U. used this jacket for various productions.  All of the writing, outside of the copyright information, is in Arabic.

The center hole is smaller than a standard Western turntable, so it would not fit on our spindle.  With some adaptation, we managed to safely play-test portions of the disc.  The play seems excellent.  The album is spoken Arabic mixed in with Kulthum’s singing.  The jacket is in very good condition for its age, exhibiting minor scuffing and some ring wear.

We cannot read Arabic, so the exact translations are undetermined.  We feel we have given the best description is accurate, but it is up to the buyer to make the correct decision on what you are purchasing.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and we will do the best we can to answer them.
