This auction is for a beautiful copy of this rare and OOP compilation of Uncle Tupelo's second and third studio albums, Still Feel Gone (from 1991) and March 16-20, 1992 (1992) as a 2xLP set, packaged together in a gatefold sleeve, with cover art that is different  than that of either album's original release. 
 
Quoting from Discogs: "This is one of several versions pressed in colored vinyl, all of which are much less common than the standard black vinyl, itself a relatively rare item. In this version, Still Feel Gone is translucent blue while March 16-20, 1992 is translucent red. A version with both records pressed in marbled grey vinyl is the most common colored vinyl variation. There is also a version with both records in yellow vinyl, and a version where Still Feel Gone is blue and March 16-20, 1992 is green. "

Money issues are forcing me to sell off my records, and I'm pricing this to move, with (what I think is) a low reserve*. I'm not a dealer and these are my own records lovingly cared for over the years. My hard times can be your opportunity.

Vinyl is NM++, never played and handled only a few times, including to photograph it for this auction. The gatefold picture sleeve is NM- with very light signs of wear. The bottom corners show some wear and a couple of tiny creases, and the front cover exhibits very faint ring wear that can only be seen when the light hits it from just the right direction. I include high-resolution, well-lit, in-focus photographs of my items' vinyl and picture sleeve, and I've tried to include close-ups that reveal virtually every flaw, however minor, as clearly as possible.

My goal is to ensure that a bidder knows exactly what he or she will be receiving upon winning the auction, so please ask any questions you might have prior to placing a bid.

Shipping for this item will be the actual calculated cost of the service you select, plus $10 to cover the cost and effort required to pack it properly (a necessity when shipping expensive vinyl), as well as postal insurance due to this item's higher than usual value, and signature confirmation. I consider the insurance to be for both my protection and yours.

When shipping vinyl, this is my packing process:
1. The records will be removed from the outer picture sleeve; in this case the original inner sleeves were the standard plain ones (white paper with die cut label holes in the center on both sides), so they will stay in those but be shipped outside the picture sleeve. (This is to prevent seam splitting in transit).
2. The records and original sleeve will then be sealed in a heavy-duty poly bag (so that the contents will fare better in the event that the package gets wet or is exposed to weather en route).
3. The item is securely sandwiched between 12.5"x12.5" cardboard stiffeners (these are primarily to protect the corners of the picture sleeve from damage in transit, but also make it less likely that the entire package can be bent or warped, while also adding a layer of protection against damage from sharp objects).
4. If you're receiving fewer than ~5 standard LPs with sleeves, your item(s) will be packed snugly and shipped in a securely-sealed LP mailer box. For any orders requiring a larger box, bubble wrap and plenty of tape will ensure that there is no movement of contents once it is sealed up and on its way.

*A note on the reserve price for the Uncle Tupelo 2xLP: Trying to determine the value of this item in the 1xBlue/1xRed vinyl has been a challenge. It is rare enough in these colors that I have had difficulty tracking down any history of prior sales, particularly in like condition. (The 2xYellow version seems to be equally if not more elusive). Nearly all of the colored vinyl examples of this release that get sold are the grey marbled version or the 1xBlue/1xGreen version, and even then, color vinyl constiutes only a handful of the copies sold. The 2xblack version is the one that is most often for sale, by far. So I am extrapolating the value of this one from the sales histories of the more common versions to decide what my reserve should be. Of course you find outliers at both the high and low ends (for NM/NM grey vinyl, Discogs has a past sale as well as a copy currently available around $250, which I think is pretty ridiculous), but between $90 and $125 seems to be the range in which most of the sales of NM or better grey vinyl copies happen. NM or better copies of 2xblack vinyl seem to be worth from about $70 to maybe around $100 at most. Admittedly this is all very rough, and in any case, without more information regarding the relative scarcity of this version to those, it's still basically a guess. But my goal is to be conservative and set the reserve relatively low, as I'd rather sell it quickly (though preferably to someone who will give it a good home, rather than resell it immediately at a large profit because I low-balled myself) than try to wring every last cent out of it no matter how long it takes to sell. I've provided a Buy It Now price in case any buyer prefers to do it that way, but please note that the reserve price is considerably lower that that.
