Odeon is a German label founded by Max Strauss and Heinrich Zunz, named after a theatre in Paris. It became an EMI subsidiary upon EMI’s formation in 1931. The BEATLES "BEAT" was a limited edition 'book club' edition originally released in Germany in 1964. The original issue of this LP can be extremely hard to find and could be worth close to $500+ in Mint condition. This 2ndpressing transfer is sharp, crisp and clean boasting super separation and gain. Up tempo songs like “Roll Over Beethoven”, “Can’t Buy Me Love” & “Money (That’s What I Want)” explode from your speakers, while ballads like “Till There Was You”, “I’ll Get You” & “Thank You Girl” come across softly & sweetly reminding the listener of the tremendous range the Beatles were capable of. This album is a nice unique compilation of the boy’s early work.
