Description

I bought this myself many years ago in the mid eighties.  When I came to play side 2 of Barrett I found not Gigolo Aunt, but some very modern sounding Rap/ Rock.  I checked the label - it still said 'Barrett'.  I wrote to HMV in London and received a replacement disc in a special HMV sleeve - the mispressing is now in that sleeve and the two discs 'The Madcap Laughs' and 'Barrett' are in their proper places.
With modern technology I've been able to work out that Side 2 is actually Side 2 of Genius of Rap, released in 1982 - one of the first ever Rap compilations released by Island Records.
It features: Jazzy Sensation by Afrika Bambaataa and the Jazzy 5, Searching Rap by Bon Rock and the Rhythem Rebellion and Super Rappin' No. 1 by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
It's in lovely condition, rarely played, stored carefully, I just don't play vinyl any more.
