Unique Tymes-I'm Conceited-RARE Private Funky Soul LP! This listing is for the vinyl record from Unique Tymes, titled, I'm Conceited. It has no release date but I would guess it was released in the late 1970's or early 1980's. (Perpetual Records 9017~Original U.S. First Pressing-Private Pressing). This is an excellent bunch of songs with a mix of soul and funk. Bobby Frazier sings all lead vocals and he also plays lead guitar and drums. Jimmy Williams is on keyboards and Robert Ashley is on bass, with a bunch of fine back up singers. The vinyl is very clean and shiny and visually grades Near Mint, with no scratches or marks. I playgraded the record and it playgrades VG+ on side 1 and VG++ on side 2. On side 1 all the songs play very well, except for the track of I'm Conceited which plays VG to VG+ with some light background noise on parts. The track of When You Were Mine has just a bit of light background noise on the opening few seconds. On side 2 all the songs play very well except for just a bit of light background noise on the start of Lover's Vow and the start of Tell Me What's Your Name. Overall, this is a very enjoyable listen of this mega rare private pressing. The jacket grades VG to VG+, with some corner wear, some light cover wear, 5 tracks circled on the back by dj and a 3 inch crease near the lower left corner.
- SONGS: The record has 8 excellent songs and is near impossible to find anywhere: I'm Conceited, The End Of The Chase, Automatic Love, When You Were Mine, Beautiful Dreamer, Lover's Vow, She's Something Special and Tell Me What's Your Name. That's the record, good luck bidding!
