Payment Unissued ARC Test Pressing Arthur Schutt Piano Solo
Offered is a 78rpm shellac test pressing with Jazz pianist Arthur Schutt doing a marvelous rendition of "Limehouse Blues." (I can't imagine why this was not issued) It was recorded in New York on September 28, 1934 (matrix 16073) and was rejected.
On the reverse side there is an unissued take of "Two Cigarettes In The Dark" by Glen Gray & His Casa Loma Orchestra. Although this side was issued on August 16, 1934 on Brunswick 6954 take A, this is take C and it was not issued.
This disc is in excellent-minus (E-) condition with surface scuffs.
