Bishop Thomas Gerald McNeely, a husband, father, grandfather and friend to many was born on November 9, 1930 to Sylvester & Ruby McNeely. He entered into eternal rest on June 1, 2012, at home in League City, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He joined the Marine Corp in 1949 and served in The Korean War. Wounded at Chosin Reservoir, he was discharged with 3 battle stars, Purple Heart and 5 Campaign Ribbons. He married his wife of 61 years, Gwendolyn Sweet McNeely in 1951. He was called into the Ministry in 1952 and served on many Boards, with the United Pentecostal Church International, Preached Campmeetings all over the U.S. and Pastored several churches until his retirement as Bishop of New Life Praise Center in Seabrook, Texas. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn McNeely, son Thomas "Bubba" McNeely Jr., of Houston, Texas, daughter Sharla Creekmore and husband Rev.Terry Creekmore and a host of other family members
