Thrift Store Discovery! Up for auction is an acetate of unreleased vintage killer instrumental funk!
The artist is  UNKNOWN
1 side is playable with a killer organ funk tune with an amazing break. The second side is unplayable due to emulsion flaking.

This is an impossibly rare item and as winning bidder you will possess a previously undiscovered, yet important, piece of music history.
I have not attempted to clean or restore this piece, as I believe the buyer of this item will have their own idea of the best way to preserve this item. I usually grade every record I sell, but in this case I think it best to describe the record and include sound clips of the track. The video contains the track, with the end of the track truncated (the buyer will get a CD included with the full track). Bear in mind, a dedicated restoration of this acetate will bring out a far better sound than what is on this recording. The acetate has clearly seen better days and has some shelf wear. I believe the sound quality can be treated in restoration, but again I leave that to the expertise of the buyer. There is some chipping or flaking to the emulsion on this acetate on the edges, not in the play zone of side 1. Side 2 has flaking that has rendered the 2nd side unplayable. Sound is clearly compromised, but again I believe proper restoration can bring this out more. Check my other auctions as I am offering other similar acetates.

Addendum concerning overseas shipping since this is my most commonly asked question: The shipping price is as stated by ebay's shipping calculator on the auction page. Many overseas buyers are unaware that The United States Postal Service raised rates in January. Rates are significantly higher than they were last year. The cost is calculated by weight, which includes the sturdy heavy box and filler inserts I use to guarantee a safe trip overseas. The weight of the packaging unfortunately bumps the item into the higher cost of shipping bracket. The USPS no longer has a sea-mail shipping auction. The cost quoted is for standard airmail delivery and is actually the cheapest method available
