Lee Baylis Alice Hillsinger ? Country Jazz 10” audition demo 78 Democrats Will Cry
Previously unissued This demo was sent songwriters Lee Baylis and Alice Hillsinger to the owner of 4 Star to have someone release it. The song is about the optimistic prediction in the 1950 upcoming presidential election why Dwight Eisenhower with his running mate Richard Nixon will make a landslide victory over Adlai Stevenson, and it was correct. There are original sheet music and letters written to 4 Star owner Bill McCall about this demo made at 2 am, and saying that the colored boys that made this had a few under their belt. This demo would have been well accepted by 50% of the people in the US after the recent presidential election. Certainly a one of a kind rarity and the only time heard The demo is in VG++ condition This must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse unplayed for over 65 years.
