THIS VINYL IS A RARE ISRAEL PRESSING 1974 INCLUDES 2 UNPUBLISHED PREVIOUSLY SONGS BY VLADIMIR VYSOTSKY "THE COLD" & "THE STARS"
FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION WAS TAKEN FROM A VINYL COVER:
"The present-day Russian bards constitute a most astounding and the same time logical phenomenon in the Soviet reality. Their songs, which have burst through the most perfect apparatus of suppression in the world, go through the fog of mass brain washing and demagogy and carry in them the living and free ideas and feelings that arouse both the heart and the mind.
Aleksander Galich, Bulat Okudzhava, Yuli Kim, Vladimir Vysotsky, Yuri Kukin, Evgeni Kliachkin, Yuri Vizbor, Aleksander Dulov, Aleksander Gorodnitsky, Yuzef Oleshkovsky - this is a list that is far from the present-day Russian bards.
Their songs, that are not recognized officially and that are frequently carefully silenced and that are most often performed in some friend's house, are immensely popular in the Soviet Union. Having become one of the branches of the "Samizdat", they are unrestrainedly spread in countless tapes.
By presenting this record to the listeners, we are opening the series of "UNPUBLISHED SONGS BY RUSSIAN BARDS".

The record has been made from tapes that have been smuggled out from the USSR. These songs had been taped in the space of many years, sometimes the machinery was faulty and the taping had been done under difficult conditions.
