Description
Here is a rare, unreleased (to my knowledge) Michigan Garage / Psych LP by Plain Brown Wrapper on Syndicate Sound Studio RV 2165 : 'LIVE'. Plain Brown Wrapper was a very popular band in the Lansing, Michigan area with several local 45 RPM releases under Plain Brown Wrapper and The Plagues. According to the band's guitar player, there were a total of 3 unreleased albums from the band. The deadwax has 'GM East Det' inscribed on both sides. Labels show only a light amount of wear and some writing on one side. The vinyl does have some scratches and scuffing, but plays rather well. I would rate it a solid VG overall. The B-side plays a little better than the A-side. The plain cover is brown on one side and has the previous owner's name on it. There is some repaired splitting. I would rate it VG- overall. Grading Scale:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
