ITEM : 2 track single in an original custom sleeve. No company cover issued.

YEAR : 1980
INFO : The only record from Ipswich punk band Upsets that is now a bona-fide rarity in vinyl circles. A little younger than their peers (Leftovers, Razar and the Numbers) they gigged around locally before being signed up to play in Sydney. Things didn’t work out as well as hoped and they returned home within a year. The guys did record a few other tracks in 1982 though only one of these is known to survive and sadly never made it to vinyl.
Music wise this single is a ripper both sides and deservedly is rated as good as anything from the period.
CONDITION: Note : All records (except where Mint) have been vacuum-machine cleaned and fully played on a quality system to determine an accurate grading.
This item will be safely packed and includes a new outer plastic cover.
· Vinyl : Scuff marks aplenty both sides and appearance wise could obviously be better. Still some shine which gives hope and the playback is heaps better than one might expect.
A-side : Tracks along sweetly and any imperfections that might normally appear are drowned out by this terrific wall of punk. Great dynamics and only some intermittent crackle that’s not really out of place here. No hic-cups of note.
B-side : Light pops throughout don’t detract a great deal from this full-on punk rager. No skips and a real ‘nugget’.
Overall I rate the sound here more than acceptable, in fact I’d like to tag it ‘almost VG-’ but the ‘almost’ depends on your perspective … so to avoid any possibility of disappointment let’s stick with at least a “G” grade.
· Labels : Two imperfections on the A-side as per photos above.
· Sleeve : Plain generic cover in excellent condition.
