Description

Le Cam 126.  You're A Habit (2:20) / Cry (2:07).  From 1964.  Most copies of Le Cam 126 have "Vicki" as the flip side.  I don't know if this white label copy is a promo or not, but perhaps Major Bill changed his mind and put a different flip on the commercial release.  Hard to tell.  Interestingly, the flip here, "Cry", is the same old Johnny Ray hit that Major Bill put out on Doug Sahm on his Soft label.  (Which is the same song Doug Sahm cut for Renner #232).  The instrumental flip of the Soft release, "Down The Pike" (Soft 1031) is, according to one source, The Uptowners.  Will Hammond, Jr. seems to be the main guy in the Uptowners; they did one other 45 for Le Cam and Hammond was a player, producer, and owner of the Panther record label.  The labels are clean, and the vinyl plays VG+.  You can hear a sound sample from both sides here:
