Description
I recently found a box with about 50 of my RAREST and most valuable records. They range from The Beatles w/o publishing credits to Classical. I'm only listing this LP tonight but there will be more in the next few days so keep watching.
This auction is for the Very Rare Urania Records release of Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 Orchestra Performed by The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler. I was going to start the opening bid very high at $595 but will give the potential bidder a break for reasons listed below.
LP Condition: Visually the LP looks great but there is basically constant surface noise. Side One sounds OK till the end where it gets more than noticeable. Side Two is very noticeable for the 1st half before it quiets down a little. No groove distortion so the music is crisp and the LP plays through with no skips. It's been awhile since I played it and thought it was much cleaner. The recording can be easily cleaned up with a de-clicker on any computer recording program. The opening bid will reflect that.
Cover Condition: A 3.5 inch seam split on top but the spine and bottom are fine. I've listed the cover as VG only because of the "cut"? just above the 2nd A in Urania that can be seen in the photos of the front and back.
Shipping will be Priority Mail in a new LP mailer. I will combine shipping so you only have to pay once but wait for an invoice if you win more than one auction. Insurance is on me.
Note to International bidders: If this auction goes over $250, E-Bay demands a Signature Confirmation or I'm liable if the LP is lost. I believe International Express is the only option. In that case shipping could be over $60 but I'll check to make sure.
THANKS FOR LOOKING & GOOD LUCK!
