Uriah Heep - The Magician's Birthday LP gatefold 1972 Bronze UK 1st Press



PRESSING DETAILS: ILPS 9213 UK 1st Press (A-1U &  B-1U) The 'U' on side A is stamped horizontally.


SLEEVE: (VG) Original UK 1st press gatefold sleeve has light wear from use and storage. Some 'half moon' ringwear to both sides. Inside is much cleaner with less wear. Spine has isolated scuffing with some wear to the text 'Uriah'.


INNER SLEEVE: (VG) Original paper lyric inner has no side splits. Light wear and creasing from storage. The front top left corner has come unstuck and has a tiny rip (barely noticeable). 



RECORD LABELS: (VG+) No writing and no stickers. A few spindle marks to both sides when angled under bright light and some staining around the hole.


VINYL CONDITION VISUALLY: (VG) Vinyl is flat and glossy with lots of light hairlines and paper scuffs to both sides when angled under bright light. A couple of light scratches but nothing deep or serious. Both sides have been enjoyed over the years but not abused.


OVERALL PLAYING GRADE: (VG+) Both sides play really well with light background crackle /static noticeable in places during the gaps and quieter parts of the music. The louder majority of both sides play EXCELLENT if not higher. No loss of sound quality. The sound quality is amazing - far superior to any CD remaster or re-press with real warmth and detail. A great looking and playing original UK 1st press Uriah Heep record complete with lyric inner not to be missed!  




Strict grading using Record Collector grading system.  All records are sent in correct record mailers or cruciform box with cardboard stiffeners and the vinyl removed for the the original inner and put in a new polylined inner sleeve outside of the cover to make sure no splits happen during delivery. All vinyl is sent tracked and signed for.
