Description

An original 1st press of BIRTHDAY on UK Bronze. Matrix A1U/B1U. Etching 'G.Kong. Really nice heavy vinyl. Note the labels mention distribution by Island at the foot. The vinyl comes housed in an original Robor cover with closed left side forming a really nice rigid opening panel.  There's also the original and genuine inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. No kidding - this is a cracking copy. I've only heard a couple of these original copies sounding quite this precise and pristine. It has only seen very slight use and is an absolute stellar copy. Hear RAIN play with a really clean background - sweet!. I'm struggling to make out much background at all. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. There's one isolated click in the middle of SUNRISE. Hearing BIRTHDAY on a nice clean 1st pressing is - highly recommended!
Cover (Ex-) Very well preserved with excellent colour retention. Front and rear surfaces are flat and smooth with hardly any surface wear. Really nice looking interior. Edge wear is actually pretty slight with just a bit observable at the middle top of the right panel. The openings are still nice and firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing. A couple of side splits have been taped up.
