Uriah Heep -Very Eavy Very Umble large vertigo swirl U.K. 6360006 EX+EX+ 1Y1/2Y1

On offer here is a very rare becoming mega rare original album by Uriah Heep entitled Very Eavy Very Umble released in 1970 U.K..on the extremely collectible large vertigo swirl label 6360 006.I would grade this as EX+/EX+. I am of the opinion this album is becoming much harder to track down especially in any decent shape and now rarer than Salisbury. .The music is brilliant progressive rock.Check out the brilliant,melodic ,sad Come away Melinda version worth buying this album for this track alone.The matrix numbers are 1Y1 420 114 2Y1 420 115 I am not an expert on matrices but this looks as if it is the earliest ever or at least a very early pressing.Like most vertigo swirl albums,this album will continue to rise in value for the foreseeable future so would be an investment.In the 2002 rare record guide this album had a book value of £30 but now it sells for 20 times as much in some cases.Just have a look at the photographs.It comes with the vertigo inner sleeve.
Labels
These are crisp and bright with no writing or marks on them and I could not see any spindle wear.The record looks as if it has only been played a few times maybe around 4 or 5.
Vinyl
This is a stunning example.Even under the strongest light I could not see any marks or scuffs or scratches.There are no jumps or repeating grooves.Even on the quietest tracks there was hardly any background noise ,not really perceptible but I am being very picky mentioning this,after all it is vinyl not a digitally cleaned up CD..These vertigo swirl albums like Harvest were issued on vinyl with a lighter weight due to a plastic shortage in the early 70s and many played with audible background crackle and hiss even when purchased new from a record shop but this album is a welcome exception.The album has been cleaned with a professional cleaning machine worth £1000s but in reality I did not need to pay the fee for this.I would grade the vinyl both sides EX+I have played it through on a Linn Sondek Goldring cartridge.
Sleeve
This is a fully laminated sleeve which is fragile and is prone to excessive wear.I have seen many sleeves which are badly worn even torn and usually the writing on the spine is missing or illegible.On this sleeve there is no wear on the top and bottom as can be seen from the photographs There is negligible wear on the spine and all the writing on the spine is clearly legible with no missing letters.There is slight laminate creasing and a few spots on the sleeve but these are hardly perceptible and only visible if you peer at them under a strong light. and I am being picky mentioning this.The only blemish I could see was under the words very umble on the reverse of the sleeve where a tiny piece of laminate had disappeared.It is possible this happened in transit when the album was purchased new.This was quite common in those days.Overall this sleeve is far better than most and I think anyone would struggle to get a better one.The item is 45 years old after all.
Overall ,I do not think this album will disappoint any winning bidder and to give everyone a chance,I have deliberately set a low start price for the auction.It goes without saying that if anyone is disappointed,I offer a compromise or a full refund..Please contact me directly if there is a problem.
