Description
Fair used condition with visible wear & tear. The record shows scuffs & has not been tested. Please see pictures for details. The album rear cover has been torn by removal of tape, but seems otherwise OK. The front and rear covers have a signature at the tope and the record's label also has a signature and an apparent phone number. Seller is original owner and the record has always been in a smoke and pet free environment.
As I have no way to tell the quality of the record itself, this vinyl is being sold "AS IS", with all defects, if any.
I searched eBay for appropriate descriptions of the album and, without being able to vouch for this information, I cut and pasted it here for what it is worth, if anything:
This is a US vinyl pressing on VEE-JAY Records VJLP 1062 from 1964. It is the Mono pressing with the version one songs. The labels are black with colorband and VJ in oval.
This is an original Mono pressing with the version one tracks : "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You". The record plays these songs. So, it is not a counterfeit. (That's the opinion of the original author, not mine)
The front cover has George's shadow on the right side. The left spine has printing, which is wrapped around onto the back cover....
The record labels have "Introducing The Beatles" and "The Beatles" printed above the spindle hole. The colorband around the labels have all the correct colors. The distance from the last song to the label is exactly 3/4 inch.
The matrix runouts are etched : Side 1 : 63-3402 (MR) stamped in a circle Δ-5702 and Side 2 : audio matrix (is stamped) 63-3403 (MR) stamped in a circle Δ-5702-X. It is a Monarch pressing.
In the Perry Cox and Frank Daniels Beatles Price Guide this is : VJ 1062 (1) MR1-B.
The songs are : I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You, Baby It's You, Do You Want To Know A Secret?, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.
