Used KISS "Double Platinum" Double Vinyl LP - 1978 Release

• You are bidding on one used copy of the KISS stereo vinyl double LP "DOUBLE PLATINUM," released in 1978, which includes a reflective silver gatefold cover with embossed images and logos. Also included is a replica platinum album award certificate and Kiss Army merchandise order form. This is an original release. Produced by Kiss and Sean Delaney. Executive produced by Jimmy Ienner. Duration - 1:09:27.

  "Rock Bottom (Intro)" appears on the cover as track 1 on Side 3, but actually plays as an intro for "She" (Side 3 track 4). Both tunes are in the same band on the disc. "Rock Bottom (Intro)" does not appear on the label. For the same reason, track duration for "She" is listed on label as 4:36, but it's actually 5:25 with "Rock Bottom (Intro)" included.

• The LPs and jacket are considered USED but are in very good condition. (See grading legend below). The discs are graded NM and are slightly wavy but not warped; there are no scratches; there are light marks on all sides that are not audible. We played both discs and they sound great. The jacket is VG+; there is some ring wear on the front and back top and bottom. There is sticker residue on the top right. The Platinum certificate has a fold along the left side and a crease bottom right, with some light stains and a line below the label. The pamplet is in very good condition. Inner sleeves are generic white. The pictures below are of the actual item except the Kiss Army detail at the bottom.

  Double Platinum is a double-album, 20-track collection that gathers all of Kiss' biggest hits ("Rock and Roll All Nite," "Beth," "Detroit Rock City," "Calling Dr. Love," "Love Gun"), but what makes it an essential retrospective and introduction is that it doesn't overlook key album tracks and concert favorites like "Cold Gin," "Deuce," "Black Diamond," and "She." If "Strutter" was represented by the original version, instead of a pointless 1978 remake -- which was recorded only to entice collectors into buying an album of music they already owned -- Double Platinum would have been a definitive collection, but as it stands, it's simply a very, very good overview.

• VG = Overall wear, but no skips or serious defects. May be somewhat noisy during quiet passages. Cover is worn, with considerable ring wear, and may have partially broken edges.
  
• VG- = Playable, but both the record and cover are well worn.
