Description
This is a 1969 HMV India release on the red HMV "Nipper" label of Ustad Bismillah Khan - Shehnai. A stereo recording and pressed in India, this does not have the "Odeon" sticker applied to the label.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned and the vinyl has come up spotless and very shiny with one or two faint hairlines and a scuff mark visible on Side One. No feelable damage. The labels and spindle holes are very clean and the heavyweight vinyl sits flat on the turntable. I have graded VG+.
Beautiful & vibrant sound quality as these old Indian classical recordings often are. A warm tone with good stereo imagery and no playback issues - the vinyl plays through as it should with a low noise floor. No jumping or sticking.
The outer cardboard sleeve is clean, robust and colourful with some shelfwear and a split just beginning to the bottom seam. No writing, stains, tape or tears. Very light foxing to the rear top LH corner area.
We have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning.
A rare original pressing in fully cleaned and tested condition, all ready to pop straight onto your turntable.
