Description
Utopia ( German ) Self Titled RARE UK ORIG GF LP 1973 A1U/B1U EXC On United Artists UAG 29438 . A SIDE: 1 What You Gonna Do 2 The Wolf - Man Jack Show 3 Alice 4 Las Vegas . B SIDE: 1 Deutsch Nepal 2 Utopiat No.1 3 Nasi Goreng 4 Jazz - Kiste .
Cover: GF cover non laminated generally in near excellent condition . There is just some light rub wear on the main edges . There is the usual rub wear on the corners which has taken off some surface colour . Again there is just some light normal useage wear on the opening edges . The spine is excellent with just a few small surface crack lines and a few very light and small dents , it is fully legible . There are just a few light surface marks mainly down the right hand edge . There is a small mark near the top right corner which to me appear to be finger nail marks from possibly a removed sticker , though there is no sticker mark . There are just a few normal surface only crack lines in places on the edges , mainly on the left hand edge . The inner GF is generally in excellent overall condition with just a few light surface marks , mainly being a few very small white spot marks in places . Again there are a few light surface crack lines around the edges . There is a very small patch of light surface rubwear in one place only on the top right hand edge where the aeroplane is in the photo's . The rear is as the front description though there is some surface fading from the usual ringwear mark and in places mainly down the right hand edge . The record comes with the original United Artists paper inner sleeve . This does have browning , i think around the edges , i say think , because to me the sleeve appears to be of a browning colour all over , but it is more noticeable around the edges . This obviously i can't confirm so please be aware that it may have browning all over , i am just hoping the more knowlegeable people out there will know what colour the paper inner sleeve should be . There is 99p in blue biro on one top corner . There are the usual , but quite light ringwear marks , some small surface marks and a few light creasewear marks . There is also a very small start of a seam split ( approx 25mm ) and this is only just starting to show through the inner sleeve . Please note that for this reason , i am going to send the original inner loose in the parcel and supply another paper sleeve for postage , thank you .
Record: In excellent overall condition with just a few very light surface marks . It plays beautifully crisp and clear throughout with just the very very occasional bit of very feint background only static on the very quieter parts . I must say that even the track changeovers are virtually noise free . This record really does play and sound superb generally . The overall audio tones are truely awesome . There are no jumps etc and it still retains a great shine . Both labels are excellent and are virtually unmarked bar for a few very small spindle marks . All in all a very nice overall example of this now rare and very collectable item , together with super sound , really must be one of the better ones out there today ( though not too many about now ) . Turn this one up and enjoy ! . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding .
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Postage prices shown are for the UK and Europe only . Please note that any bids that exceed £14.99p GBP ( inclusive ) , will be sent via 1st class recorded in the UK and International signed for if outside the UK . Please be aware that the extra cost for this WILL be added on to the base rates that are shown , thank you . Please note that the European postage is a little more than usual due to the slightly extra weight of a GF cover , it really is that tight with the new prices now , sorry for this . Please can you wait for my invoice before paying , as i will not know if the item has to be sent signed for etc , until the auction ends , thank you .
Please note that whilst I haven’t increased my postage charges for quite a while now , this , now second recent price increase within a year , has seen me , unfortunately , have to put a slight increase on my overall charges . This is also topped with the rise in cost for quality card mailers and stiffeners . I will mention that it now costs me between £3.42p and £3.50p ( depending on whether I buy 50 or 100 mailers with two stiffeners ) to post an LP in the UK 1st class with 2 stiffeners . Please also note that I now send ALL LP’s with a minimum of 3 stiffeners and all 7” singles with a minimum of 2 stiffeners . Believe it or not , these stiffeners are now 20p each for LP’s . A 7” single now costs me £1.49p to post 1st class with 2 stiffeners in the UK . As you can see , I am actually still making a loss on postage overall , but I do obviously want to still remain competitive and still offer my usual top quality service . My apologies also to all my European friends , as there is now yet another steep increase on all postage outside of the UK , so again I am sorry for also having to increase my European postage prices .
Please note that due to high ( mainly dollar ) currency conversion charges by Paypal topped with that most of my records are below £5.00p each , i can no longer offer a worldwide postal service. A £2.29p record to the USA now comes with a 68p charge from Paypal , plus all other Ebay costs , the new much higher postage costs , card mailers etc . As you can see , this is no longer viable , i am very sorry for any inconvenience .
Please note, all records and cd’s dvd’s and cassettes are tested from start to finish. Records are packed in proper card mailers with a minimum of 3 stiffeners for LP’s and 2 for 7” singles . CD’s and DVD’s are sent in strong bubble wrap envelopes. These are also taped with brown parcel tape along all edges and seams for added protection. All are sent via RM 1st Class post or Airmail small packets .
