In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

IGGINBOTTOMS WRENCH
Often touted as one of the primordial 1969 pioneers of the expanding "Canterbury Scene" the unlikely named 'Igginbottom actually originated from Bradford in Yorkshire England ~ close enough?

Back in 1969, they were fresh faced and highly explorative combo who went off to the "London underground scene"  with the promise of a lucrative record deal on the soaring Deram record label. Yet, due to such far reaching prog psych jazz blues moldings & creativeness, and true $$$ fame did not come their way, yet managed to create a now historical $$$ 1969 highly prized sought album, mind you!

According to a DERAM Records representative, the IGGINBOTTOM's WRENCH LP never sold enough to pay for the band's advances, and rather than keep 'Igginbottom's Wrench' on the DERAM label, like the similarly
ill-fated (amazing!) AARDVARK (no less), were all dumped in a fire sale and forgotten -- many of the remaining stocks sold-off cheap  (ohhh for those day's back with all the stars in their horizon!)

'Igginbottom were legendary amongst knowing 60's/70's listeners, due absolutely for the albums intrinsically strange "uniqueness's".

To "get the picture" - tune into tracks inhabiting the similar world as "Moonchild" from King Crimson's "IN THE COURT OF ...  quite extremely (!) and then so what if an album roughly inhabits the strange abstract world also jointly occupied by 1969's IGGINBOTTOM WRENCH  ?

The line-up of 'Igginbottom looks conventional enough, with Dave Freeman (drums), Allan Holdsworth (guitar, vocals), Mick Skelly (bass) and Steve Robinson (guitar, vocals), but it's the way they combine and scatter their instruments, using such subtle and precise invention and dexterity - for that's the surprise!

You may think when listening to it that these guys, they were all stoned and out of it. But, if so, how could IGGINBOTTOM'S WRENCH have so acutely both dissonant and coherent achieved such a vision & direction???
No, a lot of that craziness was just the mood of their time.

Basically, they played jazz lines in a complex rock prog concoction, or one might say it was the other way round.

Alan and Steve's double guitar weavings often played with a
semi-acoustic/electric hybrid of early Crimson's Robert Fripp soft-progressive swing, tending to dance around each other both in and around structures of the pieces, whilst the bass and drums tend to hold it together - amazingly super unusual!!! Even IF not always the case, in  so loose and ethereal, one might even expect the musicians to drift into unconscious space-bound.

Best put, listeners probably won't even recognise the most unusually cool version of the legendary "California Dreamin'."

Overall," IGGINBOTTOM'S WRENCH" is an album that stylistically defies any attempt in serious description or classification.

"unique, unique, unique"- one to never cross paths with again
