Description

This is the rare 1956 7" 45rpm single 'HOUND DOG' b/w 'DON'T BE CRUEL' by ELVIS PRESLEY. It is an original 1st pressing on the elegant mauve/gold HMV label, cat# POP-429. The labels are in an Excellent+ condition. The B-side label has a little dark area (probably not visible on the scan) where a label has been (very carefully!) removed. Otherwise both labels are unblemished. There is a little faint spindle-marking.  The vinyl has a little crackle on the run-in grooves and there are some light 'paper' marks. The disc plays Excellent.  Please study the scans. Please note that the white 'flecks' visible on the disc are due to the scanning process and are not present on the disc.  This disc has been thoroughly play-tested on a CITRONIC PD-1 deck with a lightweight tone-arm.
