V2 – Speed Freak/Nothing To Do/That’s It ORIG Bent Records 7” / SMALL BENT 1 (UK, Stereo, 1978)
Happy to present one of only 800 of this fast and furious 45 in its original black vinyl press from ’78. This came from a punk & new wave collection where everything was played just the once to record to cassette, then carefully stored away for the next 33 years. You hear of these collections but very rarely do they actually materialize and here is a piece of such a collection. This is an incredibly fresh copy considering it’s a 1970’s record and you’ll have to go some to better this.
The original paper pic sleeve was printed by Delga Press and is just in unbelievable nick. Slight handling crease to the opening edge but other than that close in good looks to the day it was bought. No tears, splits, writing, stickers, no corner wear, no edge wear, no real ring impression. This came from a collection where PIL’s ‘Metal Box’ was still shining silver! Superb sleeve worthy of a true M- (Mint Minus) grade.
The record labels are as new – no writing etc…
The vinyl also looks like new. Full shine, no scratches or embedded dirt. One slight scuff to one side. Gotta go M- (Mint Minus) here too. HAS BEEN LISTENED TO and plays as you would expect from such a cared for record – no snap, crackle or pop, no hiss, distortion or loss of clarity. Crank it up really high!
Can’t be many left in this condition at this late stage! No reserve.
