'Chinese Rocks' LP (US, Outhouse Records, Catalogue #001) Like new copy of limited LP (edition of 500 copies only) of superb collection of rare ''60s Gararage, Surf, Trash Rock 'n' Roll A Go Go From Southeast Asia' (the tracks here coming from the '60s Singapore and Malaysian scenes specifically.) Follows in the tradition of the similar, superb and legendary 'Steam Kodok', 'Thai Beat A Go-Go' and 'Teen Dance Music From China And Malaysia' compilations from years past. Fans of all 60's Southeast Asian 'A Go-Go' records, The Sun City Girls and the Sublime Frequencies label releases take note! (NOTE: LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ONLY!) 'Like the old saying "digging a hole to China", insatiable record collectors go through stages, digging deeper & deeper to find the next unknown treasure. Collectors of garage/trash 50's & 60's oddities have grown in recent years like wild fungus & many vinyl mysteries have been solved only to open new ones. Looking to the east we have indeed literally dug a hole to a 60's Singapore & Malaysian weirdsville, represented here by a family style nightmare of rickshaw crashing left of center wild rockers that would never make it onto even a collectors compilation of this sort.
