ORIGINAL SERMI RECORDS MONO PRESSING, CATALOG#. SP 121, ITALY.
Sermi label sought-after compilation featuring Carlo Pes, Alessandroni Alessandroni, Edmondo Rossi and Sandro Brugnolini. 1st pressing with BIEM logo on labels, also a subsequent re-press exists with cat. variation SR SP 121 and SIAE logo, that states this LP was originally pressed in '68 or '69.
Happiness and pain, hope and alienation told in music on this excellent Library where melancholy and dramatic themes are alternated by blithe and amusing tracks. Among the others: "LA PISCINA", delicate and refined bossa, "A LITTLE SAD" and "SWINGIN' HOME", both based on Jazzy sonorities. "DAFNE" is probably the best track on the album: an unusual mixture between Beat sound and austere melodies; drugs and hallucinations sound effects, LSD vortices follow Electronic beats. "IL MANICHINO" features happy and fast rhythms with the presence of Hammond, "LAUGHIN' IN BEAT", a very special tune characterized by continual male laughs on a Beat musical tapestry. At last "ELEGIA PER UN FAGOTTO" is a fantastic melanchonic cinematic theme.
