V/A : Flex Your Head, Dischord 1982 orig 1st Violin slv, Minor Threat/Teen Idles

Here is an original 1st pressing/1st issue of the iconic Dischord "Flex Your Head" compilation LP from 1982, with the first 'violin' cover (only 4000 made). Later covers featured a wheat field, an XXX design and a 'blurry photo' design, but this one was the first. Featuring no less than 32-tracks recorded between April 1980 and Christmas 1981, this is a 'must have' for any hardcore/punk/straight edge or Dischord collector. Includes by Teen Idles (pre Minor Threat), Untouchables, State Of Alert, Minor Threat, Government Issue, Youth Brigade, Red C, Void, Iron Cross, Artificial Peace and Deadline. 

CONDITION - this unlaminated cover is about VG, with generally minor signs of age; slight storage record-shaped impression (and small bit of outer rim related rubbing, mainly by the bottom to the front), a little rubbing in corner areas, about 5 small lines/wrinkles by the spine, a bit of edgewear/shelfwear to edges here and there and a small bit of wear in middle of bottom seam. Nothing major at all though and otherwise fine - please see pictures above. The record is visually about VG as well - there is a small, light (non-feelable) surface mark by outer edge of Side 2 (at about 4-5 o'clock); when studied under a bright halogen bulb, there are a number of light/very light and hairline surface marks dotted about to each side - note that all are light and non-feelable, and I can find NO deep or feelable marks or scratches to either side. Previously played and enjoyed but certainly not trashed. 

***IMPORTANT*** - please note that this copy does NOT come with the booklet/insert (hence cheap price!). I bought this copy 2nd hand and it was sadly missing at the time. VINYL GRADING

NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.

MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc.

• Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the 'International Signed For' option at checkout - thanks!

Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is an extra £1.10 for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or an extra £5.30 for overseas buyers to cover 'International Signed For'.
