ORIGINAL B.B.B. BEATIFUL BLACK BUTTERFLY LABEL PRESSING, CATALOG#. BSLB 0015, ITALY.
Scarce and underrated Italian Library LP on the small label BBB which dealed with Italian Folk/Experimental and Prog. stuff. Among the others the killer Rare Italian Prog. monster "SUAN" by Armando Piazza. Very strange compilation released in early '70s featuring several tracks signed by Tribù Bantù aka early NAPOLI CENTRALE aka SHOWMEN 2, the previous Napoli Centrale line-up feat. his aims James Senese and Franco Del Prete. The record also shows the presence of Albert Verrecchia and Italian Library bassist Piero Montanari studio band. Some killer jams on here really disregarded to date: infectious Afrobeat Psychedelic grooves, Free Funk, Tribal Progressive Rock with large use of percussions and heavy rhythmic session. Side A sees 2 dope tracks: "ELEPHANTS IN LOVE" and "FREE AFRICA" are amazing Afrobeat jams. Super-groovy 'Elephants In Love' with huge percussions and Psychedelic mood, sensual and Exotic pressing fast rhythms. 'Free Africa' is insane Tribal/Afro Fuzzy jam with Electronic effects. Cinematic atmospheres on "SINFONIE D'ETE" signed by A.Verrecchia and credited to obscure Zovit. On the other side opener "CRAZY DRUMS" provides nice Prog./Electronic groover with percussions and Progressive organ, long percussions solo. Very nice Harpsichord Bossa tune on "SIGLA DI NINO SOPRANO" followed by sweet Bossa/Exotica "SAMBA SERGIO MENDEZ". "FROGS IN LOVE" by Piero Montanari band reminds in style Simonetti's Blue Frog theme with laid back Funk Breaks and Synthesizer arrangements.
