Very nicely presented original pressing of the Various Artists punk collection The Label (Sofa), released by The Label in 1979. It includes tracks by Front, Eater, Bombers, Drew Blood, Dave Goodman & Friends (featuring Steve Cook and Paul Jones from the Sex Pistols), Cash Pussies (featuring Sid Vicious) plus reggae band Tribesman. This was apparently one of the first ever releases in the Han-O-Disc translumadefractadisc format and is basically two separate discs sandwiched together, making it very heavy. The metallic Medusa face has a 3D effect and the image glows in the dark. The vinyl retains a very good / excellent sheen with just a few very light superficial surface marks - nothing significant - see descriptions below. There is some clouding on the very edge of the vinyl (where the original bonding agent has discoloured a little) but this does NOT affect the sound quality in any way whatsoever. Comes with its original heavy polythene sleeve, which is a bit creased and distorted but the info label with track details and credits is in very good shape (see scan).
A-side: There is only the tiniest hint of any background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with tiny and occasional very small pops and clicks plus just a few slightly more prominent ones. Grade - EX- up to EXB-side: There is a tiny amount of background surface noise with tiny and some very small pops and clicks plus an occasional slightly more prominent one.
