Heavy Metal Explosion 1982 Japan compilation LP w/OBI MCA Records VIM -6284: This is the kind a record you had as a teenager in the 80's, when a couple milk crates held all your LPs, and comps like this were a great way to check out an array of acts on a limited budget. Nothing otherwise unreleased here, but you do get tracks from White Spirit, Diamond Head, Fist, Tygers of Pan Tang, Quartz, and a few others. The LP, insert and outer jacket are all in excellent shape here, however the OBI strip has some tears and wrinkles that are visible when you zoom in on the photo. It lays flat under the plastic and looks okay from a distance, but will be off putting to the discerning collector. All-in-all, this is a cool budget collection to dip your toe into the vast pool of awesomeness that was the early 80's UK metal scene. VG++/VG++
