MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find RCA Records very first Stereo press released by RCA Victor Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1970 by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), catalog number 31A-1770, with hand etched matrix numbers 31-A-1770-A EB-CD in Side A and 31-A-1770-B EB-CD in Side B, with traditional orange/black RCA Victor Records labels with white “RCA Victor” and push-out center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

The first to tell about this MEGARARE SINGLE is that so far I know this single by Valeria Mongardini singing both songs in Spanish was released in Latin America only and only in Chile this single has a push-out center. This single takes songs from previous singles released in Italy, “Se Sapessi Mio Caro” was the Side B of 1969 RCA Talent TL-29 and “Addio Cittá Vecchia”, a cover version of The Guess Who’s “American Woman”, the Side A of RCA Italiana PM 3532. Song titles are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and Spanish lirycist, with additional credits “with Paolo Ormi and his Orchestra” in the case of “Si Supieras, Amor Mio” and “with Tony Mimms and his Orchestra” in the case of “Mujer Americana”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this single by Valeria Mongardini, another record from Chile almost never seen and in great condition. WOW!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, soft hairlines and light scratches, which amazingly don’t affect play at all. Labels are in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with only some spindle hole wear and some faint blemishes, with the push-out center still intact. The sound is in great EX- or EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant very soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, more evident in the last seconds of each song, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS almost never seen, maybe not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but with still a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and superb sound quality after 47 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget in this single Valeria Mongardini sings two songs in Spanish, if you know and collect Valeria Mongardini you already know the level of rarity this single has and now you have the chance to get and own it!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
