VALKYRIE
The First Rebirth
La Musique Du Beau Monde Belgium
12" in die-cut sleeve Cat: LMDBMV 2511Rel: 23 Mar 26
Uplifting Trance/Progressive Trance Side 1. The First Rebirth (extended mix) Side 2 - Track 1. The First Rebirth (MI37 extended Rave mix) Side 2 - Track 2. The First Rebirth (Unplugged mix)
Jef Neve could be Belgium's most well-known jazz pianist, and with media personality Kobe Ilsen and top producer Serge Ramaekers, he forms VALKYRIE. The trio now rework a rave cornerstone with their take on 'The First Rebirth', adding a new spin to the 1993 classic. The original mix retains its iconic melodic tension while introducing a richer, more textured palette and balancing club power with musical nuance. MI37's 'ravemix' pushes things into harder territory by amplifying the track's driving energy for peak-time impact. In contrast, the unplugged version strips the composition back to its emotional core and exposes the strength of its melody. A great mix of past and present.
