So, so hard to find, VGG's all time classic album and here it is where it all came together from start to finish although the three predecessors were awesome in their own right!! Splendid maniacal existential prog album in great EX!! This is grandeur from the first note till the very. last I am very happy to be able to present this fantastic and ULTRA rare album . This will be a great first acquisition as well as a terrific upgrade!!!

Van Der Graaf Generator's third album, Pawn Hearts was also its second most popular; at one time this record was a major King Crimson cult item due to the presence of Robert Fripp on guitar, but Pawn Hearts has more to offer than that. The opening track, "Lemmings," calls to mind early Gentle Giant, with its eerie vocal passages (including harmonies) set up against extended sax, keyboard, and guitar-driven instrumental passages, and also with its weird keyboard and percussion interlude, though this band is also much more contemporary in its focus than Gentle Giant.  Peter Hammill vocalizes in a more traditional way on "Man-Erg," against shimmering organ swells and Guy Evans' very expressive drumming, before the song goes off on a tangent by way of David Jackson's saxes and some really weird time signatures -- plus some very pretty acoustic and electric guitar work by Hammill himself and Fripp. The monumental "Plague of Lighthouse Keepers," taking up an entire side of the LP, shows the same kind of innovation that characterized Crimson's first two albums. I has to be in the top three all time long prog masterpieces!!

THE IMMACULATE VINYL PLAYS GREAT ALL THE WAY THROUGH BOTH SIDES. 

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

SO HARD TO FIND THIS ALBUM IN THIS FANTASTIC CONDITION AND WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK LYRIC SHEET. THIS WILL BE AN UPGRADE FOR MOST SERIOUS COLLECTORS. IT IS VERY HARD THESE DAYS TO STILL FIND THIS GEM IN THIS SMASHING CONDITION. IT ILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN IN THIS SPLENDID CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE.

Vinyl: EX+. Probably  barely played. Audio is A++and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went unnoticed. NO marks or hairlines. Under a very strong light there are a few wispiest paper retraction traces which any LP will have. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed megarare now. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

Gatefold Sleeve: VG++ to EX.  Fantastic looked after "E.J. Day" gatefold sleeve without much wear and no damage.  The pictures tell all!!! The inside gatefold is NM. A small catalogue sticker to the left front. Two light creases to the rear. The spine is 100% legible, the opening is crisp. Light top and bottom edge storage wear. One of the best you will ever find.

This also has the original lyric inner sheet still present. Rarely seen at all in most copies that are presented, an elusive item!!

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
