VAN DER GRAF GENERATOR Pawn Hearts Pink Scroll Charisma CAS 1051. Released 1971
Sensational Copy complete with lyric insert
This auction is for a quite sensational original 1st pressing copy of Pawn Hearts by VDGG on the Charisma Pink Scroll label. All elements are in fantastic condition and without question this would represent a chance for a final upgrade on this LP.
Grading:
Outer Sleeve: Near Mint
The matt gatefold sleeve is graded as Near Mint. It is wonderfully clean and unmarked. The spine and edges are unmarked with no rubbing, save for a small amount on the lower left corner, which is slightly rubbed at the tip. Elsewhere there are a couple of extremely feint creases which are almost invisible but it is in amazing condition and I have no hesitation grading as near mint, it is quite superb
Vinyl: EX+
Under bright halogen the first thing that is noticeable with this LP is how much of a deep black gloss shine this record has, it’s beautiful. There are a small to moderate amount of very fine lines caused by removal from the paper sleeve, but nothing of any depth or seriousness, it is superb.
Audio: EX+
The album plays extremely well, with minimal background noise and provides a fantastic listening experience. The playback is strong, clear and sonically superb in every respect.
Matrix Numbers:
CAS 1051 A-1U 1 GA (13th stamper)
CAS 1051 B-1U 1 GG (11th stamper)
The labels are clean with little signs of use.
Lyric Insert : EX+ the insert is uncreased and is in nice condition
Overall, this is an amazing 1st pressing copy of this iconic LP, which would represent a final upgrade copy for the vast majority of people.
Please note I grade conservatively.
Postage and Packing:
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers. My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
I ship to the UK and selected European countries, plus North America and Japan
UK Bidders:
£4.95 via first class postage.
Europe :
£15.95 via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service
North America and Japan :
£26.95 Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed service
Payment must be made within 3 days of the auction close.
