STEVE KUHN TRIO LP THREE WAVES (Contact Records CM-5).
"VAN GELDER" is stamped in dead wax to note that the mastering engineer was Mr. Rudy Van Gelder! Rare original Deep Groove mono pressing on the delectable Contact label. Beautiful lustrous gatefold cover with copious amounts of lamination. Pressed on a nice thick slab of vinyl. Printed on quality materials. Sturdy, well-constructed cover. With Steve Swallow (bass) & Pete La Roca (drums).
Cover looks quite nice. No scratches & just a scant few flecks ont the platter surface. Very nicely cared for. The apparent marks will hold up pretty well due to the superior materials & workmanship. Label also looks great. What a beautiful cover portrait by photographer Charles Stewart! (Etched Matrix Number: "CM-109-1.").

No seam splits, smudges, ink spills, puncture holes, cut-out marks, or price tags, or color fading. Slight ring wear. Nice flat cover with no waves, ripples, bends or folds. Faint ring wear. Great reflective gloss! Ilustration & print are sharp and are free of sun washout. Unblemished spine is free of dents & fully readable. Hardly any corner banging except a little banging on one of the back corners that is not visible from the front. Half-inch of edge wear along bottom edge. Inside of gatefold looks nearly perfect. Beautiful label is free of marks, stains, writing & scuffs. Sharp cut hole free of spindle brushings.
DISC - E+
No scratches, skips or warps. Fairly nice surface sheen. There are two half-inch light flecks on the disc surface. There are no skips & the platter is quite flat with no warping. Album has been stored upright in a climate-controlled environment.
