VAN HALEN 1984 Vinyl LP 23985 Warner Bros. 1983 Original US FIRST PRESSING EX/EX.
Vinyl has a light mark on Side 1, some scuffing / sleeve-wear on Side 2. Plays fine, EX Excellent grade overall. Jacket has some shelf scuffing / wear, but again, EX Excellent. Very cool Jacket Artwork / Graphics! Original inner-sleeve with cool graphics and photo of the band; detailed album recording info. This album was actually recorded from June to October, 1983. It was pressed and manufactured in late 1983–the jacket and record labels correctly state this. But it was released on January 9, 1984; not-to-mention the TITLE “1984” has caused many people (and record guides!) to say it is from 1984. The title is of course also known by the Roman Numerals “MCMLXXXIV.” If you are holding the jacket face-up (the front side,) you ordinarily would turn it to the LEFT to see the reverse side. But this, you need to “flip” it upward to see the reverse side, that-is, to view the reverse side face-up! Lol! Just a little “trivia” or cool little “details of dubious value!”
This album, 1984, was the last one to feature David Lee Roth on Lead Vocals. We didn’t know it at the time, that Sammy Hagar would replace David on the next album. Of course in about 2007 David Lee Roth returned. There have also been reissues / later pressings of this Album in “recent” years, but this one is the original. From 1983…I mean 1984…lol. This album and the songs were HUGE back in the day. Jump especially was so awesome! Other Tracks include Panama, Hot For Teacher, and I’ll Wait. Back when MTV was really cool and PLAYED VIDEOS, these songs were always on. The good old days, Boys and Girls! Trust me on this. “Won’t you tell me, where have all the good times gone?” 🎶🎼🎵🎸🥁🎤
