Description
An original and highly desirable 1979 RIAA Platinum Record Award for Van Halen II, presented to Russ Thyret (1944-2021), former Chairman of Warner Bros. Records, who worked closely with the group. Van Halen II has sold over six million copies to date, and this vintage floater award dates from soon after the record’s certification.
Recordmecca's Jeff Gold is a former executive vice president of Warner Bros, and obtained this from the estate of Thyret, who he worked with.
The award is completely original and in excellent condition with some minor scuffing to the paint on the frame, and some small tears to the original backing paper. Guaranteed authentic with no time limit. 17" x 21".
