VAN MORRISON - MOONDANCE US Warner Brothers LP WS 1835 Stereo
Original US white label promo copy in paste-on gatefold cover.
Etched matrices are:- "39621WS1835A RE-1 - 1A" and "A" on Side 1; and
"WS-1835 39622 - 1A" plus "A1'" and another symbol like a "P" and its mirror image joined together on Side 2.
RECORD - NM- Full lustre but has some light surface hairlines and some surface marks from long contact with inner sleeve.
LABELS - NM+ Pristine. No trace of spindle marks.
COVER - NM- Ultra clean with no ringwear and no stickers, marks or writing. There is some light wear along the bottom edges and bottom opening corners but no splits whatsovever. Lighter wear and a couple of pin-head sized holes on the top seam (again no splits). The top right corner has been dinged and is cracking/flaking at the top of the spine - I have tried to capture this in the pictures. Otherwise very nice indeed. Includes original Warner Bros inner (torn on bottom edge).
In view of the ding on the top corner of the original cover, I am including in this auction a further copy of the cover from another copy of the record - it is in extremely clean and solid condition, pretty much flawless apart from the lightest ringwear on the back. I cannot see any difference between this and the actual cover except for a minute "3" printed in the bottom right corner inside the gatefold which I assume indicates a later printing. N.B.There is nothing on the original cover to indicate the promo nature of the record within - I believe this is how it came - certainly it is how it was when I originally bought the record from a reputable dealer.
GRADING SCALE: NM/EX/G(+/-) visual grading - not play tested unless specifically indicated above. NM is near mint not mint - I do not use M except for an unplayed record.
I do not use VG.
