Released at the start of 2015, the inaugural Africa Airways collection was so successful it was repressed twice. Naturally this sophomore compendium of long-lost pan-African deep funk gems is equally as satisfying and enlightening. Ranging from the illustrious strings and tight disco groove of Ivory Coast's M'Bamina to the swooning vocals and arresting charge of Bongi Makeba by way of her mother mama Africa Myriam Makeba who closes the show with the tight pounding groove and commercial command "Toyota Fantasy", it's yet another triumphant collection for Africa Seven. Watch out for the Dutch anomaly mid-way; Oscar Harris's awesomely titled (and James Brown referencing) "Relax... Before Doing Sex" is guaranteed to light some fires whenever and wherever it's aired.
